Luz Saúde was created in 2000 and is one of the biggest groups of healthcare services in Portugal.
It has 30 unities (14 private hospitals, one public hospital, 13 private clinics and 2 senior residences) and is presence in the North, Centre, South-Centre of Continental Portugal and the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
In February 2014, it became the first private company in the Health business to be listed in the stock exchange. In October 2014, the insurance company Fidelidade became the majority holder of the company.
It’s main strategic orientations are:

• The development of a healthcare system that incorporates hospitals, clinics and hopitals for specialized care.
• Establishing partnerships with the public sector.
• The development of residences for the elderly.
